SMS-25

Marine Service Squadron 25 was organized in New Caledonia on 18 November 1942, its mission to provide heavy maintenance and other support services to MAG-25 and subsequently SCAT.  In addition to its presence on Tontouta, SMS-25 operated detachments throughout SCAT's South Pacific outposts.  In September 1944 the squadron relocated to the island of Los Negros in the Admiralties.  After V-J Day it relocated with the group to Tsingtao.
