MAG-25 aircraft were nondescript, as Navy regulations forbade aircraft names and nose art. Like other U.S. naval aircraft, they operated as part of squadron pools and were not assigned to individual pilots or aircrews, although each aircraft typically had its own crew chief.  For these reasons, the aircraft have seldom been identified as MAG-25 aircraft in photographs and motion pictures.  In addition, book profiles of MAG-25 aircraft published to date have all been inaccurate to one degree or another.  The following profiles are my best assessment of what some of these aircraft looked like, using period color photos of other R4Ds and C-47s, and images of MAG-25 aircraft presented elsewhere on this site.  More will be added as time permits.
